Re: Bama at UT
Im a huge UT fan, but I just cant watch them anymore. It breaks my heart to see the playcalling. So, instead of watching the game last night, I turned off my TV and read a Field and Stream magazine and went to bed at 9:30.
Up until this year, I watched every game I could, knowing there was a possibility they could win every game of the season even against teams that were superior. But, I've finally come to the point where I KNOW they cant win against teams that are even close to them all because of Fat Phil. When are they gonna fire that dumbass?

Re: Bama at UT
You can't love them if you can't watch them. You can support the team without supporting Fulmer. I refuse to badmouth the man for what he has done for the program. I honestly think it's time for a change, and it will probably happen soon, but it should be done respectfully. He got us a championship, which I never thought I'd see in my lifetime.

Re: Bama at UT
I think poor Phil and Beamer are in the same boat. The game has apparently passed them by and they can't seem to make the leap to catch up. Ball control, special teams, and let the D bail you out.

Re: Bama at UT
When Phil does get a lead he has to go into PREVENT defense that only does one thing.. PREVENT you from winning.

I feel the same way. I all too well remember the Battle/Majors days. Is time for a change, but not to insult him. He has done alot for the university. Fulmer put UT on a level we cannot reach now. The offense was the second worse thing on the field last night, behind the officiating. The better team won, but a couple of calls cost Tenn any chance of pulling the upset. They didnt have a clue. I was at the game, and will make my bi-annual trip to Columbia next week. Eric Berry for Heisman!

Re: Bama at UT
oh god excuses
the offensive PI call was not good, ill give you that.
but it isnt like that changed the whole game.
and the fumble was honestly too close to call either way, they ruled him down on the field, no way of overturing that call.
not towards you UTV, i jus hit quick reply

Re: Bama at UT
Not an excuse Biggin. I stated that the better team won last night. The offensive PI cost TN points, took away a possible TD, at worst a chip shot field goal. The fumble? could have went either way? naturally Alabamas way. Alabamas next to last TD, the roughing the passer, he was barely bumped. Alabama is a much more talented team. My only statement was, to pull an upset of a superior team, you have to play well enough to win and catch a few breaks. Those plays clearly could have changed the game, but they didnt, congratulations.
